Overview

The Roboto hosted platform includes built-in storage, offering a convenient and integrated way to manage your robotics data.

Default storage

Every Roboto account comes with a standard amount of storage for uploading and processing data. This storage is included at no extra cost in both the Free and Premium tiers.

If your usage exceeds the included limit, Roboto meters the additional storage and charges accordingly.

You can track your current storage usage in the Usage tab of your Settings page.

Bring your own storage

If you prefer, you can bring your own cloud storage (such as an AWS S3 bucket). This gives you more control over your data lifecycle and may help meet internal compliance or security policies.

When using your own storage, Roboto doesn’t duplicate or transfer the files. Instead, it creates pointers to the original data. We call this an import, as opposed to an upload, because the files remain in your bucket. This allows for efficient access without additional transfer or storage costs.
